You end up with a precious companion, the dog ends up in a loving home and the shelter (or even previous owner) can move on and help another needy pet.
Many dog owners a faced with the terrible outcome that they can no longer look after a much loved pet. This happens for many reasons and we should be very careful before we judge someone who has had to relinquish a much loved companion. Some reasons include;

Have a good search through the site and you will find many – most rescue dogs a free or less than $100 (they often come with a lot of stuff – beds, collars etc). So the best way to do a search is by cost and location.
