Blue Heeler

Posted on May 31, 2019

Known as the Australian Cattle Dog, it is a herding dog that was meant for driving cattle over long distances. It has either brown or black hair, distributed evenly across its white coat. This gives it the appearance of “red” or “blue” dog. Thus, on the basis of their colouring and due to their practice of herding cattle by nipping at their heels, this breed was called “Blue Heeler.”
