We bought our pure Dobermann Pinscher from a farmer whose Dobermann had given birth to a litter of five puppies. Marlee is medium sized and not as big as other Dobermann. But she has all the physical features and temperament common to all of her breed - intelligence, swift reflexes, lively and powerful energy. As a puppy, she had all the required vaccinations and vet checks. She is registered, microchipped and desexed. She had a few sessions of obedience training with a private trainer. We then shifted her for group training conducted by the RSPCA.
We are discovering just now that because of our age and current health situation, we are not the best owners for such a lively, active and energetic dog. We have also had to downsize to a smaller residence with limited outdoor space. This is not fair for our Dobermann. She certainly has our love and commitment. But she needs more physical space beyond our small garden to move around, and healthy, fully mobile owner/s to take her for long walks or exercises at a nearby park.
The price we have listed for her sale is small compared to her original buying price and all the additional expenses we have invested in her so far. Nevertheless, we are willing to negotiate for a mutually agreed amount with someone who can genuinely love her and give her the space, exercise, care and attention that she needs.
